Brides (or anyone in the wedding party), you may want to cue in here! There will be so many photos taken of you on your big day-- and the several weeks leading up to it. Be sure to give them your very best!
- First of all, wear simple clothes. Simple solid colors photograph the best, and put the focus on you rather what you are wearing. Of course you will want to wear clothes that you look good in and flatter you, but this is all about people seeing you.
- The best lighting is going to come from being outdoors during a cloudy day. This is going to give your skin the most natural look overall.
- If you are using a backdrop, be sure that it is simple.
- Turn up the image resolution on your camera in order to get a higher quality shot that shows you off.
- Put your camera in “portrait mode” (taller in frame than wide).
- Last of all, SMILE! A genuine smile will make your pictures shine.
As always, you’ll look beautiful when using our Mary Kay products, and remember that good skin care is essential to photographing well! Whether you are having a portrait done or it is someone you know, advise them to take very good care of their skin for a couple of weeks before their shoot (when possible). The results will be stunning!
